Product Unboxed: Q2 2025

This quarter, we refined the first-day experience, fixed a bunch of bugs, expanded medication coverage to include common supplements, and ran A/B tests to improve onboarding and notifications. And White-Labeling goes live!

Following a big few quarters of new features and visual refreshes, this cycle was all about bedding things down. We sharpened the first-day experience, squashed bugs, focused on improving notification timing and refined onboarding copy.

👋 A Better First-Day Experience

We made key improvements to reduce early drop-off and make the first session feel smoother, simpler, and more motivating:

  • A new progress bar shows users how far they have to go during onboarding
  • We simplified the condition selection, date of birth entry, and weekly plan screens
  • A glowing “Get Reward” button highlights the moment of earning
  • The notification permission screen was redesigned to encourage opt-in
  • And we made sure tasks hidden off-screen now show a floating “Open Tasks” button
We focused on a simpler, cleaner and more engaging Day 1

🛠 Bedding Down New App Growth

We dedicated time this quarter to consolidating after a flurry of recent new features:

  • Bug fixes across multiple areas, from crashes and translations to onboarding blockers
  • Fixing task button language (“Complete” now says “Claim Reward” or “Enable Now”) led to a 26% increase in first task completions on Android
  • Smarter server-driven notifications now allow for better timing and personalization, laying the groundwork for future retention improvements

✨ Small But Important Changes

  • We’ve expanded our medication database to include common vitamins and supplements like vitamin D, multivitamins, and prenatal options
  • Animations tied to task completion have been updated to better reinforce habit-building
  • And we renamed the “daily bonus” to “daily spin”—a small copy tweak that aligns better with how members understand and engage with daily rewards

🧪 What We’re Testing

Experiments this quarter focused on driving early retention and refining the experience:

  • A/B testing program task cards to see which early tasks drive higher engagement
  • Ongoing tests on notification content, timing, and design
  • A/B testing a web signup landing page that adds visuals and context before asking users to create an account

🎨 White-Labeling Goes Live

After months of development and refinement, our fully white-labeled experience is now live with our first partner. This work included tailoring the web onboarding flow, integrating customer branding, and ensuring a seamless handover from invitation to activation.
